LÉA COLOMBIER VISUAL ARTIST

Léa Colombier ( 1996, Clermont-Ferrand ) is a french visual artist who explores fictional, post-apocalyptic worlds, that lie somewhere between ethnography study and science fiction.
She creates stories that confirm hypothetical states of suspension which inhabiting these spaces.
For doing so, she uses video, image, collage, sound, text and soundscape, created with DV technology,
to talk about the near future, while evoking the past. Mixing the influences of the anticipatory novel,
and the notion of archive, her works are presented as hybrid and poetic science fiction experiments,
which question our relationship with possible terrestrial futures.
She often portrays how humans, new forms of life, and their illnesses and desires could co-exist
on parallel worlds, and the beauty this burdens bring.
